Why is Mobility So Important?

Do you remember the last time you were able to squat like this?

We were all born with the ability to squat. As we age, many of us lose our ability to squat stemming from a change in lifestyle activities and habits.

Some habits include an increase in sedentary lifestyle, sitting in chairs for hours at a time, driving opposed to walking. These habits can lead to immobility and imbalance in the body, especially in the hips and shoulders. For many people, this type of imbalance will eventually lead to even greater tightness in the hips and a possibility to develop upper or lower back pain.

You can overcome this downward spiral through flexibility training, stretch therapy and functional exercise training.

How will Stretch Therapy help your squat?

  • Improves mobility in the hips and shoulders.

  • Reduces pain do to stiffness and imbalance.

  • Reduces adhesions in the joint capsule.

  • Activates and restores muscles that haven't fired properly in years

  • Restores balance of the muscles in the front and back of the pelvis

  • Improves circulation
