We were designed to move, but modern life changed faster than our bodies could adapt.

 

For most of human history, we lived as hunter gatherers. Our bodies evolved to squat, climb, carry, crawl, rotate, sprint, hang, walk long distances, and constantly move through varied environments.

 

Then came the agricultural revolution, soon followed rapidly by the technological revolution. In a relatively short period of time, human movement dramatically changed. Today, many people spend the majority of their lives:

  • Sitting

  • Driving

  • Looking down at screens

  • Repeating limited movement patterns

  • Living with chronic stress and low movement variability

 

The body adapts to whatever demands are placed on it.

When we stop using certain ranges of motion, the body begins to lose access to them:

  • Muscles tighten

  • Joints stiffen

  • Fascia becomes restricted

  • The nervous system creates compensatory movement patterns to protect areas that no longer move well.

 

Over time, this can contribute to:

  • Chronic tightness and stiffness

WHAT IS FUNCTIONAL RANGE CONDITIONING (FRC) & MOBILITY TRAINING

Mobility is more than joint range of motion. True mobility is owning that range of motion with strength and control of movement. Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) is a joint training system focused on building strength, control, and durability at your end ranges of motion.

Instead of only stretching muscles, this approach teaches your body to actively control new ranges.

  • Reduce compensation patterns

Structural Fascial Release

Targeted techniques designed to release adhesions in the fascia and restore balanced movement across the fascial nets.

Treatment Massage

Addresses areas of pain, may use deep tissue or other techniques to aid in recovery.

Cupping Therapy

Myofascial Decompression (MFD) cupping is used to improve neuromyofascial communication in an affected area, allow for the tissue to glide more freely,  and restore movement in restricted areas.
